One simple question, led to such a deep conversation.

Yes? No? Maybe? We found this question to be much harder to answer because of all the other stuff that goes with it. It opened the door to question how others see us, how we see ourselves, and how we present ourselves to the world so that we don’t get that dreaded “socialization” question.

At the end of the day, we all need to just relax weather homeschooling is your job, your lifestyle or some version of both.

HEARD ON THIS EPISODE

“For me, homeschooling is really is more of a lifestyle. It’s more of an extension of parenting, I don’t really see it as a job.” ~ Amanda

“Every person’s homeschool is going to look a little different than the next person’s.” ~ Alisha

“I don’t want to get into a personal discussion, or philosophical discussion about who can homeschool and who can’t homeschool. When talking to strangers it’s much easier to say, ‘Oh, I’m an entrepreneur’, than it is to say, ‘Oh, I stay home and I homeschool my 4 kids.’ ” ~ Alisha

“I don’t want to sound too braggy, but I love my life. I just feel very grateful and fortunate  that I to get to stay home with my kids and homeschool them.” ~ Amanda

  1. Thank you for this podcast! Such a good question…I definitely feel like homeschooling is just part of our lifestyle, not something extra that we do, but it is one that takes the same amount time of a an outside job! All the research we do on the side when we are not with our children! Looking forward to listening to more!
